I would say a different paced book by Tom Wood but, this is fast paced, full of twists, full of action.Ī Knock at the Door, starts at full throttle and stays at that pace throughout the book. Thanks to Hachette Australia for my advanced copy of this book to read.Ī Knock at the Door, I would say the first book by this author T.W Ellis, but I know this book is by one of my favourite authors Tom Wood. It is told over a 24 hour period and is such a fast paced story. This is the start of a cat and mouse chase across the state to try to find the truth. But then the house phone rings - another FBI agent who knows nothing about the ones already in Jen's house. From what they are saying, Leo is not the man that she thought he was.

2 FBI agents are there and want to talk about Leo.

Leo has just left his wife Jen at home to head off for a business trip when there is a knock at the door.

There is a reason that the blurb is short on this book.you really don't want to know too much going in. Twisty and addictive, you need to get your hands on this one. Wow! I wasn't really sure what to expect from this book from the very short blurb but it was fantastic and I pretty much read it in a day. When you pick up A Knock At The Door by TW Ellis please make sure that you have plenty of time to read and no pressing jobs to get done because you will not want to put this down. This was a fast paced read that kept me turning the pages but the ending was flat & was a let down. Jem doesn't know who to trust or who is telling the truth all Jem wants to believe is Leo? but can she? When Agent Carlson comes to see Jem he tells her something that will test her sanity Wils & Messer are not FBI agents so who are they? When Wilks & Messer tell Jem that she really doesn't know her husband Jem gasps as her anxiety hits a peak, she refuses to believe them but as time goes by she starts to second guess herself. Jem & Leo Malhoffer had the perfect marriage a huge home too much space really & were really happy until one fateful day Jem gets a knock at the door from two FBI agents Agent Wilks & Messer telling Jem they want to speak to Leo about a money laundering that was going on in Leo's wine merchant business, the criminal enterprise has been using Leo so they can clear drug money.

A Knock At The Door by TW Ellis sucked me in big time the start got my attention straight away & kept me turning the pages until the end which may i say was so bloody ridiculous its not funny, but i did get through it.
